Advisory

Think with me.

I occasionally work directly with leaders who want a thought partner on hard problems. Not coaching. Not consulting. Just focused thinking time with someone who's been in the weeds.

If you're reading my writing and thinking “I wish I could dig into this with him”—that's what advisory is for.

What This Is

It's thinking time. We get on a call, you bring the messy problem, and we work through it together. I ask hard questions. I share frameworks. I tell you what I'd do.

It's not execution. I won't run your campaigns or manage your team. You have people for that. This is about making better decisions on what those people should be doing.

It's direct. I'll tell you when I think you're wrong. I'll push back on sacred cows. If you want validation, this isn't for you.

Topics people bring to me:

  • How should I structure measurement so my team trusts it?
  • We're spending $X on paid—is that right?
  • Our SEO and SEM teams keep fighting. How do I fix this?
  • AI tools are everywhere. What should I actually use?
  • I need to present a growth plan to the board. Help me think through it.
  • My dashboards say different things. What do I do?

Is This For You?

I only take on a few advisory clients at a time. It works best when there's a real fit.

Probably a good fit if...

  • You're a leader with a team—you need clarity, not hands
  • You have real decisions to make, not hypotheticals
  • You want pushback, not just agreement
  • You've read my writing and it resonates

Probably not a fit if...

  • You need someone to do the work
  • You're looking for quick hacks or silver bullets
  • You can't act on advice without committee approval
  • You want someone to validate what you're already doing

Interested?

Send me a note about what you're working on. If it sounds like a fit, we'll set up a call to talk through it. No pressure, no pitch—just a conversation.
